This is a complete rebinding. Originally cloth-covered, the book was taken apart, resewn on raised bands laced into the covers, and a full leather covering applied with minor blind and gold tooling.
Full leather binding in tan goat skin. Spine gilded and lettered. Front and back cover blind tooled.

laced-in limp vellum binding
Gold colored dyed vellum. Blank text block sewn on white goat skin strips laced into the gold-dyed vellum cover. Hand-sewn endbands. Yapp foredge with dyed cotton tiedowns.
3/4 leather blank binding
This is a blank book I created. The text block is cased in 3/4 leather with Scott Siegel's black "river grain" goat skin accented with black Thai Nappa paper screenprinted with an organic vine design in copper. Same pastedown. Custard-colored Hahnemüle Ingres paper folded, cut, and sewn to create the text block.
